Direct observation of the gastric mucosa is the only accurate means of diagnosing gastric ulcers in horses. The 3 meter videoendoscope allows us to both diagnose the disease and monitor treatment. Gastric ulceration is becoming a greater problem in many high stress environments. The procedure requires fasting for 12 hours and mild sedation.
